

Mariachiara Russo

Mariachiara Russo is Professor of Spanish linguistics and Interpretation at the Department of Interpreting and Translation (DIT) of the University of Bologna at Forlì, and current Rector’s Delegate for Multilingualism. She holds an MA degree in Conference Interpreting from the University of Trieste where she taught consecutive and simultaneous interpreting from 1993-2001. Since 2001 she has been teaching at DIT where she has coordinated the Master in Interpreting until 2015. She sat on the Steering Committee of the Knowledge Centre on Interpretation of the European Commission (2018-2020) and is a member of the CIUTI (https://www.ciuti.org/) Board since 2018. She coordinated the creation of the European Parliament Interpreting Corpus (EPIC, https://bellatrix.sslmit.unibo.it/noske/epic2/#open) and of the Unified Interpreting Corpus platform (UNIC, https://unic.dipintra.it/), the first open-access data platform in interpreting studies developed by the Marie Curie fellow Dr Nannan Liu.
